Ok this is a highly durable epoxy putty that can be used for 1001 fixes. It is advertised as a product that can repair or "replace" metal and whereas this has some truth in it is not a direct replacement e.g. it is not conductive and it cannot be welded too. Being epoxy based it is in two parts an adhesive and a hardener, these are mixed by working the putty in your hand to produce a consistently coloured mass, note that it will leave your hand smelly and with a residue on it but you can't work it with gloves on as it will just stick to them ! also if the product is a bit old it will contain hard granules where it has self hardened. It goes off in about 10 mins if it is fresh so don't mix it to long and only make up small amounts, you get a sudden increase in heat just before it hardens. Once it has fully hardened it can be sanded with a mechanical sander quite readily, in fact it is probably too hard to sand by hand. It takes paint well enough as well. It is highly adhesive and and has quite a bit of structural itegrity so it is good for filling gaps and holes, it will take a lot of abuse and doesn't tend to shrink, crack let in water etc. I have just used it to fix the flippin great holes on a bashed wing mirror and it was perfect for this.Read full review

I needed this to repair a broken weld on a chair where I couldn't weld. I didn't find the product as strong as suggested. I waited for 24 hours before adding any load at all and used a whole pack but the collar I created split after about 10 minutes. I was able to snap it off by hand - though it may have been weakened. I'm sure it would be great for other applications but the impression that it gives as being as strong as steel doesn't seem correct to me

Great stuff, had major rust holes, treated with kurust and back to bare metal with a grinder. The Abro steel putty set in around 45mins and you can sand, file, grind whatever you need to do to it. Great solution for an good quick fix. Highly recommended stuff. Thanks

I find this type of plastic is ideal for mending things that are used in conditions of damp and weight bearing. In this case I used it to mend a 210 litre plastic water barrel which had split at the bottom over winter from the pressure of ice. I cleaned and dried the plastic , roughened the edges and mixed teh plastic by rolling for approx. 6 minutes before applying to the crack. All done in a dry garage at 6C. Next morning replaced the barrel and no leaks. This is a repetitive repair I have to do every 10 years or so - the barrel collects water from my greenhouse roof and is exposed to ice in the barrel every winter which eventually degrades the repair. Excellent product.. and inexpensive.

I have used several of these over the last 3 years. Keeps well and always seems to work when used - although certainly ages so best results when pretty fresh - mix also gets hot when fresh. Mix well and will be both an excellent filler and adhesive.
