This stellar crew of musicians, who were the top hip hop house band namely the Sugarhill Gang were pioneers. Joining forces with On U Sound maestro, Adrian Sherwood, Tackhead also known as Fats Comet, were a totally different variation of funk, hip hop, reggae, dub and industrial music in the 80's. This music also had a strong political message especially when they backed Gary Claim or Mark Stewart of the Pop Group. Don't expect the thunder of hard left, or the excellent friendly as a hand grenade, this is an album of covers which not only highlights the wonderful voice of Bernard Fowler, but shows who influenced this group of pioneers, and why they are acknowledged as some of the most talented musicians on the planet.
