    The item was described as new but damaged packing box. It was a good price so we decided to buy it. When it arrived it showed signs of previous use. When we tried the kettle we discovered that it ‘cut out’ during operation from time to time. We got an electrician to check the kettle and he diagnosed an intermittent connection on the electrical supply. He spotted a contact that showed signs of over heating. I took a photo and copied it to the vendor who immediately refunded us.
