Life Cycle is a Bristol and Derby based charity which offers simple, practical, targeted support to help more people unlock the benefits of cycling.
Through our Bike Recycling Projects we provide people who need help access to refurbished bikes. We train both volunteers and prisoners in local prisons with bike refurbishment skills.
We help people build confidence to get the most out of bikes by offering cycle training and bike maintenance services to individuals, schools and businesses.

About us
Life Cycle Derby is a registered charity and community bike shop. Our mission is to get more people cycling, to transform lives and the environment.
We take donations of unwanted bikes into nearby prisons. Here, prisoners refurbish them to a professional standard while earning a City & Guilds qualification - giving them the tools to build a brighter future.
The fixed bikes then come back to us where they are fully safety-checked by our fully-qualified mechanics. They are then sold to the public to generate income to support the project. We also give subsidised and free bikes to local people on low incomes, refugees and asylum seekers so they can access jobs, services and feel connected to the community.
We sell quality refurbished bikes and second-hand parts. We also do servicing and repairs and teach City & Guilds accredited bike mechanics courses.
