About us

Vintage Audio restoration and upgrade kits are the primary focus of our business and we take it seriously. We are active members on audio forums like DIY Audio and Audio Karma. Our kits take advantage of our experience and the experience of the audio community at large. We are proud to provide high quality USA distributor sourced parts at the lowest possible price.

While their are variations to the theme, all our restoration kits use high quality parts from authorized distributors. Signal path caps of 4.7uf or smaller are sonically superior film caps. Other ecaps are from established manufactures like Nichicon and Panasonic.

Marblehead Audio is located in Marblehead, OH. We have a brick and mortar shop minutes from the shores of Lake Erie. Our background in all things audio is extensive. My partner has been restoring gear for well over 20 years. I have a passion for both listening to and making music, having fronted a band for a time.

Even though he shipped my package in a timely manner, it was delayed en route (not his fault). But we discussed it all and he even proposed sending another package, which wasn't necessary. Item was received in a timely manner and very well packaged; however, the components inside were supposed to arrive separated into bags according to which part of the receiver they go. All of mine arrived in one bag. I reached out but haven't heard back. There is no real guide nor directions, only the schematic. It would be good if the schematic had the replacement components circled to facilitate matching the change-outs.
