The Agilent 34401A was offered as defective because the buttons on the front panel were not working properly, but after cleaning the button matrix with IPA, the multimeter worked like new again. It was shipped out very quickly and in the original packaging, wrapped in plastic, and in a protective outer bag with desiccant (important to keep filament dry).
