    I bought a hard to find Franklin Speaking Ace for my Autistic daughter. It was advertised as New . It arrived with broken plastic container and old batteries already in it. I replaced the batteries and it did not work. I reached out to the seller and they said because I had opened it they would pay me $20.00 to be fair . I had paid $23.65 + $16.65 shipping. This was not a new item and defective. Most Ebay sellers work to make things right but not this one.

    After hearing there was a problem I was happy to offer a partial refund ($20 on an item that I accepted a best offer of $27 for) in an attempt to work things out. The buyer happily accepted, therefore, I was unaware of any dissatisfaction. I was under the impression things had been made right.
