The seller noticed before I did that my item appeared to be stuck somewhere in the middle of the shipping/delivery route, notified me, and informed me of what would happen if it was not delivered in time and what my options were. Fortunately, I did not have to decide on any options, but nice to know ahead of time if it had come to that.
