Clock was sold as 'good condition' and 'works with D dell battery' (or potentially c i think). Although it was mentioned that parts were missing (I think it was the time-adjuster) the fact that (unless I'm really stupid) the seller had either not tested the mechanism or knew it was broken was not mentioned. Perhaps I should have been wiser to this possibility, so I contacted them about it. No response. Still good value for money though, including replacement of mechanism.
