Works with a variety of devices

The stand is held in place by a click hinge.
This seems to hold well for normal angles. I've used it for a phone, and a 10 inch tablet - works fine on both.
The ledge at the bottom is perhaps a bit narrow, so a phone in a thick case won't sit well.
