Big footprint but huge preformance.

Okay first the bad, 1 i takes of a lot of sump space even in the compact assembly mode. 2 the packaging in the box isn't the best I have ever seen, plastic bags and parts suspended with twist ties in cardboard cut outs high density foam top and bottom. With that said arrived with zero damage. So I would say not a real issue.
Now lets get on to the good. It is very quite, the pump and air intake. It is as quite or more so than any skimmer I have used in 30+ years of the hobby. Instructions were good as skimmer instructions go but didn't tell about the alternate placement of the pump but assembly was strait forward. Level adjustment is simple with the knob on the stand pipe. This thing is a beast of a skimmer and the quality of build is great. In my estimation if you have the real estate in your sump you would be hard pressed to beat the performance for price equation. I also thing it is conservatively rated for tank and bio load capacity. Got mine new for $322.00 shipping included. Get one you will be very happy.Read full review...
