I've have never had a powered wood planer before but have often considered one because as I get older, using my trusty Stanley hand planer requires a lot of physical effort.
I chose the Silverline 710 as my best option on Price, Weight & Power. I am happy to say that this machine exceeds my expectations and I am delighted to say that it easy to use and produces excellent surface finishes with ease. When I consider both the price and the 3-year Warranty on this piece of workshop equipment, I am positive that I have made the best choice possible.

Electric planer easier life
This product, this planer is a very good tool to use, not having used one previously more used to the old fashioned non powered type, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use. of course just as in any type of planing operation one needs a jig to hold the piece that is being worked on. the jig I used with the non powered planes worked just as well with this one.
I of course admit to making some of the newbie mistakes when using this type of planer but quickly mastered the whole process, and am now planing away. as you will too!Read full review...
