Great investment for semi-mobile individuals
This is a great chair for those who need a lift! It is better for those who still enjoy some measure of mobility by themselves. Never use in an office chair, or any furniture on wheels. It is very pleasing to look at aesthetically and it will stay closed when placed on a chair to tuck under a table, if needed, unlike other manual lifts that tend to stay in the open position at all times. The only disadvantage is the cord. It isn't that it is too long, it is just that the senior must remember it's down there and not trip on it.Read full review
Worked great for 1 and 1/2 week.
Product worked OK for 1 and 1/2 week. Would not lift with anyone sitting on it and just clicks. Started return process for full refund. Product is rated for up to 300 lbs, brought for my mother who weighs just over 200 lbs.Read full review

GREAT IF YOU NEED IT
I had shoulder surgery and with my RA i couldn't get up without help. this machine gave me the few extra inches i needed to stand up on my own. i purchased the 20" because i'm sitting on this all day and wanted to be comfortable. i also put a soft pillow on it.Read full review

Seat upgrades
Product is good but they need to figure some way of strap it to the chair to keep this seat from sliding around. I use some Velcro try to steady the seat in the chair. It would be nice if they could devise a way to include a strapping system for the chair and with the seatRead full review

Everyone needs one of these if having trouble getting up from setting. Alot smaller than a lift chair
Awesome seat to use when having trouble getting up. Highly recommend for anyone elderly or one that has problems lifting self up from setting. Has really helped me with arthritis in both knees.

Caution use of motorized lifting--use only as a last resort until nearly NOT able to get up
Use of a lift chair, such as a recliner, or use of this lifting seat can actually contribute to a person's INCREASED overall weakness due to not using existing body strength. This increased weakness then actually INCREASES chances of the person having a FALL because they have not maintained the core strength and leg strength normally used in getting up. Therefore, it should only be used as a last resort and NOT for someone who has ability to still get up (even with a mild boost from an assistant). Physically, it is not good to become dependent unnecessarily on a motorized lift if it can be safely avoided.Read full review

Great Product!
This product really fit the needs of my husband! He suffered two strokes & needed mobility aids to help with his independence. This product was just the "boost" (pun intended) he needed. Wonderful product - you won't be disappointed.Read full review
