Rubbish in this country, wish I had never bought it, needs to be on FM not AM

This radio should not be sold in the U.K. So anybody reading this please take note , I have now bought an Alan 42 and it really good , so I have now got a new radio witch is no good to me , it would send it back but the cost me even more money, I think eBay should have told me it would not work in this country , so I don't think much to eBay at the moment I will think twice about dealing with them again.

Got this hoping that it would make a good trail radio I was pretty disappointed in it especially if it's actually tuned like it says it is. HH CB radio

Lightweight, very portable, with scan feature and alternate battery box for rechargeable batteries. This is an excellent feature since rechargeable requires two additional batteries. A big plus for this feature is that the box holds replaceable AA's as opposed to a sealed bloc of batteries. I am using LSD ( low self discharge) AA's which require less frequent recharging. A longer whip antenna ( for better communication) and this is now ready to go. The scan feature monitors all 40 channels for traffic and the weather button gives instant NOAA reports. With a base unit, you can get SSB and better communication with a pole antenna; however, you also have to be sitting right there in front of it. Lightweight with good features, ideally suited to my needs

This radio meets my specfic requirments for a portable and mobile radio. It can be used in a vehicle or when on foot. I have yet to test the range but will be doing this shortly. I've purchased an external antenna for the car and anticipate this to increase distance. I like the fact that the radio also can be powered using multiple methods. The snap on battery packs allow it to go portable while the car adaptor allows it to be run directly from a cigarette lighter, or another source of 12V DC. This feature alone makes it very versitile. Midland portable CB

I connected it to out side antenna to is it was going to just a toy or something that might be useable. It worked good, modulation was good and out put was almost 4 wats, speaker is a little iffy, but with an external speaker worked great. Tucker at other end advised I was clear. The best basic CB radio for beginners

I bought this radio for my girlfriend and it's absolutely the best for teaching someone how to operate.
For these reasons I like it:
1) you can't forget to plug in an antenna because the hand held has one.
My gf still hasn't got use to plugging it into the roof top and this saved it from burning out.
2) you can conceal this in a bad neighborhood.
3) it doesn't damage or modify your vehicle.
4) it has a scan option and built in weather alerts.
5) everything can be operated with one hand and we tested that.
6) it makes a great portable base camp and runs off a jump starter box if needes.

Stop reading and just buy this product it's the only good radio under $200.Read full review

I Like the dual Purpose

When I was looking into buying a CB I did some research on standard units and found this handheld with car adapter. I wanted more than just something mounted in the truck. Incredible hand held unite

Does everything nicely ,4 watts output swings to 10 decent audio hi low power switch , good adapter for car or base. Change out stock antenna for aftermarket antenna and what a difference !
