lost treasure
Our family had a copy of this movie, but lent it out and never got it back. You can find used DVDs for this movie but they want $60 or more for them. We turned off the closed captions and watched the movie without problems. Our father was very pleased that we could put this movie back into his DVD library. Thanks.Read full review

Video Could Have Been Better
It's a great movie and the music is fantastic, but I don't find this particular copy to be a good value. The reason is because at the first part of the movie the picture was so dark it was hard to see. Then it gradually became lighter. I also didn't like the Korean writing on the bottom of the screen as it was very distracting. This is why I gave it only a 3 star rating. I tried to disengage the writings, but I'm not sure if it can be done on this DVD, or if it was just that I couldn't figure it out. If it wasn't for these 2 things, it would have gotten a 5 star.Read full review

Excellent movie
I always loved this movie and was watching a concert he gave years ago on tv. It made me think back going to see this movie and decided to see if it was available - of course it was!! I'm happy to have a copy of my own and I know it will be replayed many times.Read full review

Neil Diamond The Jazz Singer
While the actual story and music still resonate, the movie production quality is of poor quality. It looked and sounded as if someone used a camera to film the movie while it was playing in VHS format off a 1990's TV and then packaged it into a DVD. This seems to be a common practice with Asian producers (primarily Chinese and Korean) who apparently believe the North American market is more interested in low prices as opposed to quality product.Read full review

If I didn't have to rate this picture with a star, I would not have given it any stars at all...........
The reason I give this movie a very, very low rating, is.....The picture quality is terrible.......we started to watch it and then turned it off.
I am extremely disappointed that we cannot be entertained by this poor, poor quality movie......
It's too bad.................Jack McLaughlinRead full review

Neil Diamond singing at his best
I love this movie, I love the singing and even the canting, It is a interesting story about a Canter and a music person that shows him he has more to offer then just the church family, but it has its heartbreaks, but then love draws then all together in the end.Read full review

Neil Diamond and Lucie Arnez are magical together!
The Jazz Singer is a wonderful remake of the Al Jolson film. Right from the start you understand his struggle of wanting to please his father but also wanting to do so much more with his music. His wife wants what his father wants, for him to remain a Cantor. Then he meets Molly and she sees his potential and wants to make his dream a reality. The two of them have this magical connection and I felt that they belonged together. The movie is so enjoyable that I felt sad when it was over. Wanting the story to keep going! I have seen this movie 482 times and counting. When I am stressed or upset, I put it on and within a few minutes I am into the movie and by time its over I am calmed down and feel so much better.Read full review
