Very fussy about rechargeable batteries, had to buy Panasonic high capacity.

Amazing
great product, excellent pictures. the only setback is the battery which is not rechargeable. Hope it may come with lithium ion batteries which can be recharged. Anyway thanks a lot for the crisp quality pictures.
I am now a great fan.Read full review...
An unpretentious, not-so-basic camera which performs well, and good value.
I wanted a basic camera with a few features that I could rely on in an emergency - twice now, I've been in a situation when my other cameras batteries have failed (and I always carry spares!) due to cold and when I just didn't remember to pack them. This one goes with me everywhere in a plastic bag, and it gets abused. I can get the AA batteries anywhere. Its features are, for such a cheap camera, amazing; there is an intelligent mode and plenty of programmes to play with. I've used (expensive) Lumix's before (with Leica lenses) and have always been impressed by their rock-solid build and reliability.
It's difficult to dislike this camera, because of its unpretentiousness - out of the box, it performed well, and went on performing in bad weather (freezing temps, driving rain) when I really needed a back-up. Ok, it's an all-plastic body (lens isn't, though) and the screen isn't huge - there's no viewfinder and alkaline batteries only give around 150 shots - a lot less if flash is used - BUT, for the price of ten pints, who's bothering about that? I would have liked a cheap case for protection, but a placcy bag does just as well. Picture quality is very good at 5 megapixels and with 14 megapixels you can't go wrong, if you want that kind of resolution. Shutter lag time is lengthy, so it's no quick-on the-draw - just don't expect miracles.
But it's no Canon Ixus, Nikon One or any other £150-£300 compact, and I don't think Panasonic ever intended for this camera to compete with them either. I would certainly get one of these for the kids (one each), just to let them snap away - a perfect present, in fact.
If you're a budding photographer, or just want an extra back-up in the car or rucksack, you won't go wrong with this camera - in fact, I'm already really rather fond of it!

A great little camera to be had for a song on ebay
There are some things the camera on your smartphone just can't do. This little gem will.
Leica lens!
Leica lens!
More than enough pixels to give you great 8"x12" or bigger prints if you want.
HD video quality you can show on your giant flat screen TV
No-brainer auto programs for most situations you will ever want to take photographs in.
AA batteries.
Making sure you do NOT have the camera set to 'auto flash' (so it charges the flash every time you turn it on, irregardless if you need the flash) will ensure you haven't flattened the batteries so when you need them, they're dead!
Using photo lithium AA batteries are worth the extra expense.Read full review...
STOP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CAMERA! You have found the one for you.
STOP LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CAMERA! This is a very good camera, really good price, amazing photos and great video, owned more expensive cameras that I've been disapointed in. This one is perfect! Point and shoot! iAuto is very good! The only thing I would change is the battery, from AA to lithium. Apart from that all good! Hope this review helped you make up your mind in buying a camera. You usualy spend a long time choising a camera, but look no further. I'm pleased with it, so should you be! All the reviews that I've read before purchasing were positive.Read full review...
Great value for money camera
Nice little camera, just what I was after for my moon photos.
My other Lumix has too large a lens, but I saw this one, which has a much smaller lens.
I'm hoping to get some lovely never seen before from earth moon photos this winter with this little minxRead full review...
