A bit marmite - you love 'em or hate 'em - I love 'em!

These are Sennheisers - of course the quality is fine, what divides users is the asymetric length of the ear phones - there's the usual single cable from the device that splits, with a much longer length for the right compared to the left. I like this - they sit easily and securely round my neck if I take them out, and it's automatic knowing which is left and which right. Others, however, find this annoying. Quality, lightweight and great sounds!

Not the best earphones

Purchased these to replace a set that I thought I had lost. Noticed the cable and plug felt different to old version but put this down to being new. Plugged them in and immediately noticed poor sound quality with lack of bass. I managed to locate old versions and compared them and found a massive difference. Brilliant headphones

This is the second pair of this model of headphones that I've purchased. They have brilliant sound quality, and are great at reducing noise. There are 3 different "cushion" sizes, so you can find one to fit your ear size. If I need new headphones again, I will be purchasing these ones! Excellent performance for the price.

The Sennheiser CX 300-II headphones are designed with an interchangable soft rubber cup to suit different size ear canals. Once you have the correct size the headphones block out external noise and don't fall out of your ear. Some external noise can get through but only if it is very loud. The headphones come with a decent length of cable and have the usual long lead on one side so you can run the headphones behind your head. In use the headphones offer good frequency response although it does depend on the device they are used with. I found with my HTC One X with Beats Audio offers sufficient bass however with a cheaper MP3 player the headphones lacked bass. Don’t waste your money

Too good to be true. Almost certainly not a genuine Sennheiser product.

Sound quality is dreadful.
Right earphone was intermittent on the very first use.
Loose fitting in the headphone jack causing distortion.
Cable itself feels cheap and unlike other Sennheiser products I’ve used.

Great bass and sound quality

I've owned several pairs of these & absolutely love them for the volume, bass and quality. They punch far above their weight. The only downside is that they aren't particularly durable, so so tend to last about a year and a bit of daily use, but because they're pretty cheap, it's not a problem to replace them.

Sennheiser CX 300

This is the 2nd pair of CX 300 buds I’ve had. The sound quality is very good especially the bass. They come with 3 different size inserts guaranteeing a comfortable fit.

A first class product which I would recommend to anyone.

I purchased this product because of Sennheiser's reputation and because I had previously bought Sennheiser earphones. At the time, I could not remember which I had bought before, but it turned out it was the next model up, the CX 400. Why do I mention this? Quite simply because in my own, honest opinion, I prefer the 300.
The 400 includes a small volume control which I thought detracted from the overall performance of the earphones, the 300 doesn't and the signal to the speakers is that much stronger. And, anyway, most MP3 players do actually have their own volume control.
In terms of clarity, treble and bass response, they are streets ahead of anything else I have used so far and the performance is plenty good enough for anything I want to listen to on my iPod.
Dislikes? Absolutely none. A first class product which I would recommend to anyone.Read full review...
