In their own words

Having read several reviews prior to purchase, I knew what I WOULD be getting (excellent historical information in the form of interviews with most Yes members past and present, plus engineers and producers) and NOT be getting (performance videos). Yes members have changed their minds snd perspectives over the years, as we all do. This documentary captures their thoughts at that particular time. Additionally, hearing the perspectives from Eddie Offord and other former close associates is fascinating and most welcome. Worth multiple viewings.

The first disc is excellent in terms of content. It is long, and packed! Sure, the lighting leaves a lot to be desired, but since I purchased this primarily for the interviews it didn’t bother me much,
The reason I give this DVD 4 stars rather than 5 is the second disc. The Chris Squire interview in his car is quite fun; but the other “extended” interviews didn’t especially add much. Then, there are 4 short performance clips. Why only 4, and short ones, and why these particular 4 which don’t exactly span the era discussed? Rather odd. I’d have voted for either none (and replace them with interviews of those glaringly omitted, such as Patrick Moraz, Tony Kaye, and Brian Lane) or for and entire disc of videos. As for the videos that are included, these can be found on YouTube.

Still, no regrets! I consider this purchase a good value and a ‘must” for true Yes fans.
