NVIDIA GeForce (1024 MB) (VIDNVI9800GX2) Graphics Card

NVIDIA GeForce (1024 MB) (VIDNVI9800GX2) Graphics Card

Excellent High end card at a great price...

Performance wise this is a great card - It handles anything I throw at it on max detail at 1920 x 1200 with the exception of Crysis (There are few if any cards capable of running Crysis on Very High - even the Nvidia's flagsh...ip 280GTX isn't quite up to the job yet, so ignore those pretty looking constant 60fps Crysis tech demo's - they're pre-rendered!)

The card is big (267mm) and it runs hot but that's to be expected - this is two 8800 gts 512's wrapped up in a single card package after all... A large(ish) case with good ventilation is highly recommended and make sure you have a power supply with either multiple 12v rails or at least 40 amps on a single rail solution.

If you have a 750i/780i series nvidia chipset and a little money to burn then I highly recommend that you invest in two 9800GX2's as there is nothing that can touch it for the money - can you really afford 2 or even 3 280GTX's?!

This card is currently available on ebay at sub-£200 prices and at this price it knocks it's high end competitors out of the water.
