Just right!
This little shelf is exactly right for my personal book collection. I love it. It fits nicely into a little space on the landing.

Good quality item for looks, feel and sound.
4 of 4 found this helpful We bought this deck as we have hundreds of LPs and 45s which we were keen to drag out of their boxes in our loft and now we are really pleased to hear the old sounds again! This particular deck has a really nice feel to it. A good quality item, a nicely weighted arm which automatically returns to its resting place. A little side piece, (to the left on the side of the circle) lights up red when it is playing. Also a little 'pitch' button on the top which alters the speed slightly, either slower or faster. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not. All in all we are very pleased with this deck. A lovely sound from it. You can't really go wrong with it, it's easy to use, it looks good, sounds good and feels good. We had previously bought a record player in a wooden cabinet which looked very nice, but the decks on this type of player are so cheap-looking, plasticky, light and not automatic, so we decided on a better quality deck and amplifier instead and we are really pleased with the result.

Superb film.
1 of 1 found this helpful I first saw this film in the 1960s at the cinema when I was 18. At the time I thought it was 'pretty violent'. I saw it again a year later, but appreciated the essence of the film more and how necessary the 'violent' parts were. (Incidentally, by today's standards it is not violent at all). A few years ago I saw it again and loved it, over the last couple of days I saw it on TV and I was riveted to it. It is a majestic and beautiful film that you can see again and again and always find something new. I had to buy this film on DVD. Now I own it and shall treasure it. I shall watch it every now and then as a special treat. It is a gorgeous film and made by one of my favourite directors, David Lean. Also the music is wonderful and unforgettable. The scenes look so Russian, but in fact was filmed in Spain. Amazing! Once you see this film, you will not forget it. I am sure you will love it!
