Broke after One Month. Honeywell Refused Warranty Claim
1 of 1 found this helpful I had nearly the same experience that joeljenerin had with his T10 Pro thermostat. I replaced a T6 Pro thermostat to obtain the remote-sensor feature. After about a month, the T10 Pro shorted out and caused the 3-amp low-voltage fuse to blow in my rooftop package heat pump. After checking the low-voltage wiring for shorts and with the T10 Pro removed, I replaced the fuse and low-voltage circuit worked fine. The moment I reattached the T10 Pro thermostat, the new fuse blew. I had to replace the T10 Pro with the old T6 Pro thermostat which works fine.
NOTE that Honeywell refused to handle a warranty claim for the broken T10 Pro thermostat. This model is sold through contractors and purchasers must go through a contractor to get a broken one replaced; Honeywell won't do it like, presumably, it would for consumer models. I chatted with Honeywell's Martha Alejandra representative who refused to handle a warranty claim.
