great value tool, very useful for e46 cooling system
I bought this to troubleshoot the cooling system on my E46, anyone with a complex cooling system will benefit from the tool if you have a leak and can't seem to find it. Instructions were pretty much non existent but if you're ordering one of these you probably already know how :-) don't go over 1 atmosphere though, it's not needed and could damage things. My leak (which was tiny) only starts when the system is under pressure , changing an O ring fixed it and so far no more leaks. I don't mind getting tools even if they only get used once a year or less- this paid for itself with one use anyway :-)

Workhorse mono laser printer
I've used the 4000 series laserjets at work as a printer and repaired them too, they're built well and are easy to repair and service, all the parts are readily available and pretty easy to fit. most paper jam faults are down to worn rollers and major maintenance intervals are at 200000 pages. genuine toner (new, not refurbed) is quite expensive but you do get a LOT of pages from a toner, the fusers are pretty reliable and the printer will handle pretty heavy paper, especially if you use the manual feed tray. the 4000, 4050 and 4100 are very similar and the twin tray version is worth getting if you need to do headed paper or regularly print to two different paper stocks. easy to upgrade (and cheap too!) to a network version by installing an EIO network card, memory is upgradeable and you can add an EIO hard disk- however for most people at home these memory and disk upgrades probably are not worth doing for the small performance increase you'll see. try to buy one that has all the plastics intact as these are not easily sourced used, walk away from one that doesn't print as there's plenty about :-)
