Still a powerful and thrilling film
1 of 1 found this helpful Great presentation by Arrow. Picture and sound outstanding, Walken is simply mesmerising to watch, I thought this film may have aged and to my surprise it still stands up as great thriller. Pay attention to the music and lighting in the film, all the elements have been brought together to create a really dark and almost scary depiction of power and greed. Supporting cast is outstanding and some nice extras including a decent interview with Abel Ferrara. Definitely going to pick up Arrow’s version of The Driller Killer and looking forward to seeing The Addiction. Hopefully we will see future Ferrara releases by Arrow such as Bad Lieutenant and The Funeral. My rating for King of New York - 10/10.

Awesome.
Ignore what the critics say, this is a tough, well acted and thoroughly entertaining police thriller. Right up there with Dark Blue & Training Day.
