Lego Technic Crane Truck 8258
6 of 9 found this helpful This is a very impressive set. There are a great many gears to assemble for the model to work. You need to follow the building instructions very carefully. Overall the set builds up to a large Scania 8 wheel truck with a Hiab heavyduty crane. The crane can be operated by the motor and has all the functions of the real thing. The motor also operates the outriggers. You could incorporate the remote control unit if your building skills are up to it,I will be trying. I don't see any faults with it. I wanted one of these as soon as it was first released but unable to afford it at the time. I knew they would start appearing on E-Bay at some time and would wait until the prices came down. I enjoy building Lego models even at 43. I will be looking out for the R/C excavator. I hope this helps you decide to buy a set yourself.

Compact and lighrweight
This battery box takes up a lot less space than other battery boxes and so can be hidden within a creation.

Great series
This is the latest edition 21 so far in a series. It contains films of heavy haulage movements from the 70's. The series covers from the 50's to the 70's. The films are described byJohn Wynn who shot most of the footage shown. I hope there will be more to come.
