It works
This thing does the job. The blue knobs are low quality plastic (except for the quick release tightener knob), but the rest is all metal. The rods can be detatched and you can adjust the height of this unit by a few inches. This comes very handy for mounting focus pullers and such, which tends to be quite tall. The quick release is of fair quality. The screw you would mount your camera on is pretty poor quality-wise, but it works for lighter cameras like the Canon 6D. The screw can easily be replaced with something more beefy, though. When I got mine in the mail, the panel on the side of the quick release tightener knob had fallen off. This part is purely estethic, it is just a cover. In any case, I glued it back on. Good as new.
Bottom line: it's cheap. It works. Good enough.
