My cockatoo had the habit of barking every time I let him in the garden so now I just put the collar on when he goes in the garden He gives one bark, the collar buzzes and he stops. He's even taught himself to pick his ball up to stop himself barking when I open the door which means when he does this he doesn't bark at all. Absolutely brilliant product and NO nasty shock.
