Giant Killer among desktop / computer speakers
I own Snell Type A, Type E III, and B&W 685SII speakers powered by Carver Sunfire and NAD amps. I'm serious about music and search for speakers with a non-fatiguing, clear, detailed sound. You don't have to spend a fortune if you are willing to do the research. These little Bellavoce speakers fit my requirements. They are not overly bright but have lots of detail. They do not have very low bass but it is enough for listening to news or videos on the net and listening to music at your desk. It is also good for background music as you work, draw, paint or read. These are also perfect wherever space is restricted. They are not to be compared with bookshelf sized speakers powered with external amps. For the price, these speakers do outperform other mini speakers costing hundreds more. Some 2.1 powered speakers have more bass but then you have to deal with the hassle of a subwoofer and more wires. I would compare these to the Tivoli and Cambridge Soundworks radios (I have owned both). Same sound quality in an even smaller package for a lot less money. One improvement for these would be to add optical input, but they are a great value as they are.

Great speakers for mini amps.
1 of 1 found this helpful These speakers are great for mini amps/receivers from BRIK, AIWA, Yamaha and Denon, but they will really shine if fed more power. They sound excellent with acoustic, jazz, folk and other genres with lots of detail. Sounds best with music featuring guitars (Flamenco). If you suffer from listening fatigue, these speakers are for you. You can use them on your desktop, bedroom or any other place where space is at a premium.

Perfect Fit
What makes this unit the perfect fit is its quality; wires are actually thicker gauge than cars audio and power wires. Plugs snap into place perfectly and it adds about 7 inches to wire run so that you are able to pull your car stereo out to work on it without disconnecting it. Finally, a great feature is that it allows you to disconnect the power wire as well as remote turn on (I think constant on can also be disconnected). This is important because the Jetta 6 has a programmed shut off. My Pioneer does not have this feature so I had to take the power wire and connect it directly to a fuse belonging to a circuit that turns on with ignition. Worth the wait.
