Practical Design for smaller jars
I actually wanted the Opener for a larger jar with same size lid as 2 lb jars. it was not so easy to get it attached and get a grip with one hand on the tool and one on the jar. I had to put downward pressure on a non-slip mat, then it worked. With a small jar one could use one on the lid and one on the jar, which would give better purchase. Without the tool the jar contents would not have been accessible!
