Orange Amplifiers Crush Mini
19 Aug, 2020
Gotta use an external speaker for best sound
The best part about the Orange Crush Mini, and the only way I use it, is the 8 ohm speaker out. You're never going to get good sound out of a 4" speaker, no matter who's name is on the box. So, instead, I route the signal through a 10" Celestion Ten 30 mounted in an old suitcase. The combination of this $70 solid state amp (functioning as a head) and that ~$100 speaker cab project has made this the most enjoyable home / practice amp I've used. I sold my 40w Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and I'm so glad I did.
