    Time Machine
I love this poetry. It's like being in a time machine reading the thoughts of a man from 1300 years ago.
The Outsider by Albert Camus (Paperback, 2000)

    Thought Provoking
Having an interest in philosophy and nihilism, I stumbled across a philosopher named Albert Camus. He is largely known for his idea which he coined "absurdism". Wikipedia can sum up his thoughts in this matter better than I can; "Accordingly, absurdism is a philosophical school of thought stating that the efforts of humanity to find inherent meaning will ultimately fail (and hence are absurd) because the sheer amount of information as well as the vast realm of the unknown make total certainty impossible." I then discovered that Albert Camus had written a few fictional stories. One book kept cropping up, "The Outsider". For me, the story resonated somewhat, however, I'm not sure it will with everyone. The story, without spoiling it, revolves around a young man, Meursault, who, I believe, sees the world and life as quite pointless. Meursault gets himself involved in a violent event and is drawn to the worst possible scenario because of his attitude towards life. This is a story that made me think deeply about it after I had finished. A great read!
