Unobtaianable Station Received: Ridiculously Cheap
1 of 1 found this helpful I only bought this radio for one station , Chill FM. I need this so that I can switch off the normal radio in the kitchen which is permanently tuned to radio 2 and consequently there is a clear and present danger of Chris Evans and Vanessa Feltz.
I have more expensive Dab radios and a Dab deck which are unable to get Chill fm with a dedicated aerial anywhere in the house. I have had others which would only work on one floor of the three, each radio working on a different floor. The hype about the clarity etc of Dab is pure tripe. Just rotating the radio by a couple of inches can destroy the signal but this little item is happy on three floors and takes a lot of moving before it loses the signal, a signal which most Dab radios find unavailable.
The batteries only lasted six hours but they were from the poundshop, so no real test there. The power from the usb lead (apart from mains connection) has to be one of the most convenient sources possible given that most of us now have powerbanks.
Ridiculously cheap enough to have one in each room.
