Not sure about total HD but good
2 of 2 found this helpful Not sure about total HD but it is good video and stills for a small cam like this at the price. Box wasn't check marked for 1080 or 720 as picture shows in listing.
I would say for the price, and covert like thing it's worth the price but could be spotted since it is a little bulky and shiny black and gold which catches attention. Numerous didn't notice but a couple did when I was playing with buddies with it when it was sitting in my pocket next to a normal pen.
Using isn't too hard for tech say people. Others may find it difficult. So I will put this here for anyone needing help.
Slide the sd card in all the way. Removing may be difficult for some unless you have tools but it slides all the way in. You don't need to remove the sd card to read it. Leave it in and plug the pen into your usb port and it will detect the card.
Inside on reverse side of the sd card, When facing the pen down facing the usb pins toward you up, the slide lever when set to the left is video, when slid right is picture mode.
To power it on press the top gold button until the backside shows a purple light then it will turn yellow. It is now on in stand by mode waiting for a press.
Once it is on and in stand by mode, press the top gold button once and the led will flash blue then all led status will shut off for covert I guess, and your now recording video. It will stay off until you press the top gold button again to stop recording and the led will come back on and return to the yellow led standing by.
It will shut off after short time of just being idle standing by waiting so if you want to record make sure your recording if you need to record but unsure how long it'll be until you actually need to.
To power the device off just long press the top gold button and the yellow led will turn into a purple led for a millisecond and then be off.
Timing and watching to get feel of it will be needed if you plan to use it for spying without needing to see the led status.
The led does stay off while recording. The Led stays on when idle standing by but nobody should notice since it sits against your body. If you have it standing by and use it to write waiting to record someone may notice the rear led if it's in stand by mode and they are behind you or the room is dark. So you'd need to be recording already for best use if your going to write with it.
For covert use I would recommend having a fancy pen shiny as it and close to size so as it doesn't seem suspicious in your top pen pocket so both pens just look like fancy pens.
From normal standing distance nobody will notice it. But up very close when I tested it for fun a couple noticed the lense. Others did not notice it. Level of body perception would be key here and you not fiddling with it much or drawing attention to it. So up too close isn't recommended unless you can pull off drawing attention away from it or are around normal dull people who don't notice anything.
Over all its fun and nice as well could be handy for someone. It isn't top market video but it is legible and not ghetto as one would say. For the price it is about right.
It is same quality to me anyway as a Gen 1 actual law enforcement body cam I used before so for me and to me it was decent quality for the type of small lense and price.
I recommend it. If your wanting legit hd like your s8 or iPhone you would need to spend the big bucks for a actual surveillance pen device. Overall it is worth the price and quality isn't disappointing but isn't breath taking.

Bcd436hp scanner
9 of 10 found this helpful One of the lowest best prices for the radio. I got the newer run of the models and it is great. I have discovered many talkgroups and unlisted frequencies in my area and I have department issued equipment that did not have it all. If your use to old scanners it may seem confusing at first but you'll learn quick. It is very handy with the store and record discovery options. The reception is on mine at least equal to my issued APX and xts portables. It really surprised me. I even pick up a NOAA station almost 100 miles away. Trunking is really good for a scanner. Very satisfied. I only reccomend to download the online pdf you can find while purchasing waiting so you can learn it. Then if needed read the included manual when it comes. Another advantage is the the optional pro voice key and DMR key from uniden which is a paid upgrade but worth getting it now as both are about 50 each and they are more of if you live in areas with DMR and Pro Voice which isn't all over. But out of the box the scanner is good and great to go if you do not use those 2 formats. Included is p25 formats phase 1 and 2. Nac tone and ctcss decoding. Overall 10 of 10 rating. Only minor issue I have is no squelch tail elimination but not many scanners ever have that feature which is a commercial gear feature in conventional analog however trunking and digital does not have squelch tail so it's good. If your finicky about that minor irrelevant analog squelch tail in conventional a whistler would be your choice but the bcd436hp has a keypad while whistler brands do not. The custom search features is smoother to me then whistler models. Just make sure when getting your scanner to copy all the sd card data to a folder on pc so you have a backup. Then after that use the free uniden software found on uniden site with the included usb charging cable to edit or add banks which now are called favorites lists. Also update connected to the internet your uniden sentinel software and frequency database to latest. Trust me it's nice to have a entire known database where you just enter the zip code. Also update the firmware on scanner to latest using the free software from uniden website. Overall I love this scanner as I can leave my work radios off while off duty now and just use the scanner to monitor more in my area. If your a leo I would suggest the bcd436hp handheld and the bcd536hp desktop mobile for office home or unit to monitor clear trunked systems. Ymmv depending on how well your agencies system is built but I am very happy and I think you will be too.
