Poor construction
Hat was purchased as a novelty for a “hat party” - they’re great fun...when your hat isn’t broken. It was opened out and closed once and the folding arms (which support the open umbrella) came away from the elastic band. 30 minutes into the party and the hat could no longer be used and was somewhat unsafe as the metal edges were no longer covered.
