Trike gearing up date

I purchased a 2010 model Cat trike ROAD used. It had been operated in a dusty desert location and drive train needed to be completely replaced. I formulated a plan to replace items one a a time starting with front crank assembly. I chose the Patterson 2 speed drive because I liked the features it offered. as well as with my limited tools & the purchase of two additional tools I was able to complete the task. Very happy with the out come and I no longer have to mess with three chains and shifter that never seemed to work right on the trike .

The item worked well. The item was advertised as rechargeable.. It is not unless you replace the g3a battery. The first battery supplied lasted about 12 hours. The unit & the battery are very small and hard for a senior to install. I would expect that this product will wind up in a draw (like mine ). My suggestion would be to save your money and purchase an amplifier that uses AAA batteries.
