T2 Size Quick Change Toolpost System Dixon Type - UK DESPATCH FROM CHRONOS

Comparing prices with other toolposts plus tool carriers it's very good value
The overall build is good. However it would have helped to have a more complete description. In particular, since I had to modify the mounting on my Harrison 140, a diagrammatic section through the toolpost showing the dimensions would have been very useful. In the end I managed, but I would have liked to have been sure, especially when the item is advertised specifically as being suitable for my machine. However, this is a matter of advertising and does not detract from the quality of the toolpost in general.

Cut your own for any oven
I wanted this as a cheap replacement for the DeDietrich rip-off. It was a tenth of the price and I can cut two DeDietrich-size windows out of it. And it's very easy to cut. Excellent.
Clarke CHT626 Flexible Drive Shaft Drill Attachment 1250mm Long 1 -10mm Chuck

Not quite what I wanted, but its quality makes up for that.
I wanted this drive to power the cross-slide of a lathe. For this it has to rotate very slowly, so I use the lowest speed of the drill (which is large, so there is plenty of power to deliver torque) and have a 4:1 speed reducer in the drill chuck. The results, in terms of the quality of the turned surface produced in the lathe, are quite good, but I had to be careful to keep the drive shaft straight since a slight amount of off-centre allowed the shaft to flex and store elastic energy, leading to slightly uneven rate of advance of the slide. The standard of construction is good; I suspect I am trying to use the drive at its limit. A shorter drive cable (a tenth of the length - 100mm) would eliminate this problem but I couldn't find such a short cable listed.
