damaged goods

The flash looked somewhat tired and battered - in fact it looked as though it had been dropped at some time - or had been damaged in transit. The camera bracket wouldn't slide into the horizontal slot in the base of the flash eadh as it was bent - perhaps from a heavy blow. But a good degree of gentle filing I finally manage to get it to slide in smoothly.
