I have been using this product for years and it has never changed.
I do not like the way it fits directly onto the points as it means making a big hole in the baseboard. I usually make up a frame to take the point that will then screw onto underside of baseboard. This usually means extending the wire arm with a bit of fine copper tube and a some piano wire, unless you get the motors with the long wires.

I have built a number if these over the years. They always go together well. The parts fit without a lot of fettling.
The coaches were regularly seen across East Anglia on the M&GNJR.
I always fit brass bearings in the bogie frames to improve the running
Also they are rather light and need a little weight added to them.
I have yet to build the current purchases so cannot offer any photos.
