Good Basic Digital Recorder
When my local analogue transmitter was turned off, my analogue VHS recorder was rendered useless. I needed a digital equivalent that would enable me to record programmes and view them later at a convenient time. The Humax 8000T fulfils that role brilliantly. Now overtaken by the popular Humax 9000 series models with more features, I bought the 8000T as a used item at a bargain price. After using it for 3 weeks, I have found that it has not displayed any of the slowness, faults and annoyances often reported on review web sites for other makes and models of PVR. It is uncomplicated, simple to set up and use and gives me back the same functionality of my old VHS with the added advantage of direct selection of recordings without the need to search tapes.

Informative before booking
Good useful info as can be expected from the 'Rough Guide' brand. Prudent to read before booking a holiday in Corsica, to decide if the services at your intended base meet with what you might assume.

Souper
Good for making soup, which is what it was wanted for. Suction feet stop it moving about on work surface. User instructions somewhat cursory (to make an understatement), No guidance on whether it can be used as a grinder - is this what the "X" means in the "Blend-X" name update???
