Bought this as a birthday gift for my teenage son. He was so ecstatic upon receipt of the DVDs that he invited his Chinese friends (his fellow gamers of KOEI's Romance of Three Kingdoms 13) over the very next day to watch the anime together after school.
Here's what his Chinese friends say after watching just the first episode:
1 - The English translation is ridiculously poor, abrupt and inadequate. Whoever who provided the english translation has either a poor grasp of the English language and/or the Mandarin language.
2 - Even in Chinese audio mode, the opening & closing themes are in Japanese language.
3 - The style/courtesy Chinese names that appear on screen do not get translated. Same goes for the letters that appear on sreen.
4 - The English subtitles are not timed correctly to the Chinese audio.
5 - Spelling mistakes are abundant.
From what they told, this is clearly an amateur translation effort. Not a professionally produced translation. It reflects badly on the English proficiency of the Malaysian people.
