Parker 96R Double Edge Safety Razor
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased this razor for myself. I have seen mixed reviews about Parker Double Edge Safety Razors. I was looking to purchase the Merkur Futur model having German technology, and being very pleased with my Merkur 23C Long Handle Safety Razor. The 96R is under half the price of a Merkur Futur and listed in the top 5 from another source. I took a risk, and I am so glad I bought it. I am using it more than the Merkur, as I have type sensitive skin. The shave is smoother and seems to cover more surface area than the Merkur with far less passes. I have used a few different blades and has not disappointed with near zero cuts and razor burns. I would be careful how tight you do the rotary handle if you want the butterfly mechanism to last - finger tight. I highly recommend this product. I use the Bluebeard's revenge and Mitchell's Wool Fat to compliment. Grab a bargain.

2 of 2 found this helpful Is very powerful tool. Has successfully cut three granite paving slabs directly from a quarry. Two diamond cutting disks had to used. Granite....I'd say the toughest of cutting jobs out there. I highly advise cutting at 60 second intervals, with a few minute gaps in between as the motor heats up to high temperatures. Seen many reports of motors burning out with many brands. Wear medium impact & above safety goggles and workman gloves. This is the first time I have used one of these angle grinders. I cannot stress enough to have both hands on the handle, and cut a little at a time. **Push too hard, and the blade whips upwards with some force. You must have a lot of self awareness with this, and take good care all who reads this. Made sure the mains cable was away from it behind my legs** I had to be in a lunge stance with one leg in-front of the other, with all of my weight on the legs for full-control. Pulled a few muscles around quadriceps (upper leg muscles), but for me was worth it as the newly cut granite slabs will last forever in my garden. They never perish/discolour on the surface like the cheapo £5.00 ones. Fantastic. Thank you VonHaus.

More Suitable For Darker Wood.
1 of 1 found this helpful Is a good product. Used on an expensive oak veneer lounge cabinet with two small edge chipping's. Did the trick. Unfortunately, the lightest pen was too dark for treating a light oak veneer finish computer desk.
