Extra Storage
It has provided a bit of useful extra storage space and was a very good swap with the ashtray. 2 screws and unplug the electrical plugs from electric window switches and heated seats switches if you have them. I found them very difficult to unplug, so sprayed electrical contact cleaner on the brass contacts and that helped with careful wiggling. Be careful when easing out the switches as they can break (mine being 22 years old rigid plastic) a flat head screwdriver on the rectangle side of the switch to help lift them enough to pull them out by hand. Pop them back in the new unit, plug in the cable block and 2 screws holds it in place. There’s a nice little rubber insert to cover the screws and there you have some extra storage space for keys, gum, etc.
