Shop for a better option, blue tooth range is not even 5 ft.
My first time using the two thermometers has been anything but stellar. I had the units charging with the included battery for several days in their cases. Initial usage was to simply sync them up to the app which they both did without problem. Now today getting ready to use them it took some finagling to figure out how to set the temperature for cooking but got it done and both were synced up prior to putting on the Traeger grill. Almost as soon as I put the meat down the "right" thermometer lost connection. The other I named "left" for obvious reasons. (one was on the right the other one on the left....genius) I was only a few feet away after closing the grill. I left the phone a few feet away and eventually it reconnected and I moved to about 6 ft away and it lost connection again but I still had the "left'" connected. After some time the "left lost connection also. So now both are not connected and I set the phone down 3 feet away from the grill. The "right" one has reconnected but not the left thermometer. Less than a stellar performance after only 2.5 hrs on the grill. I would not recomment this product at this moment in time.
