Not the best yoghourt maker I have ever had but it does the job
2 of 2 found this helpful I have used previous yoghourt makers and this one is not as good.
It has a little groove around the bottom of the inside of the jar, so you have to get a sharp instrument into it to clean it. The thread on the outside top of the jars also traps yoghourt, so you need to pay special attention to cleaning that thoroughly.
My previous yoghourt maker was more compact (smaller surface area, higher) but that isn't a fault. I should have read the details before I bought this one. The lid is not very high and the screw thread is relatively small, so the lids are not water-tight. If you are slightly clumsy putting the filled jars into the maker then the milk will leak out.
The yoghourt appears to go from not quite ready to separating (heated for too long) very quickly. Though that may improve with time and experience.
It does the job but I am not totally happy with it.
