Brilliantly designed jacket
This is honestly one of the best designed jackets I've ever owned.
I have a 50 mile daily commute on my bike and it has performed remarkably well in adverse weather (worn through winter 2017/2018). The lining is warm and comfortable and it doesn't get twisted when you take it off. It is removable. I would say the outer jacket is more water resistant than waterproof, but I haven't so far had any rain leakage coming through, and it dries out quickly. The armour is securely positioned and doesn't hinder movement or rub in any way. Both the cuffs and collar are lined with a nice felt-like material. There are also a number of straps around the waist and arms to adjust the fit to your liking.
It has several reflective patches in different locations and the orange bands around the arms are extremely visible, and I am confident enough in its visibility to wear it without a flourescent tabard over the top.
The pockets are plentiful and the upper ones are large and in exactly the right place for easy access to keys / phone. They have sealed zips and have not let any water in. This was actually one of the main selling points for me, as I found it hard to find a jacket with good outer pockets and they work every bit as well as I hoped they would.
I haven't ridden in summer with it yet, so cannot comment on the effectiveness of the vents, but they are large and in a sensible place, so I suspect they will work just as well as everything else.
This is a really excellent jacket and easily competitive with much more expensive clothing. It is a proper bargain and I cannot recommend it enough.
