Best salt water travel rod out there
Purchased this rod for a trip to Port Aransas Texas to fish the Gulf of Mexico for Vrrmillion snapper and other deep wster fish. No extra airline fees to carry on the plane! It fit perfectly in the overhead compartment on the plane. Fishing up to 200 deep with a Daiwa levelwind reel loaded with 65 lb braid and the heavy tip section of this rod. The rod worked great and did not slip around as I had feared under a heavy load. Was catching up to 20 lbs of american red snapper sometimes two at a time. Had to throw the red snappers back as they were out of season. A wonderful addition to my quiver of fishing rods.
