Too much of anything isn’t good for you
Simple compared to current drawing tools, but the result is it’s less demanding and is less idiosyncratic.
Much like a magnifying glass and fountain pen were in the pre- computer days.

1 of 1 found this helpful Iam sorry to find that John has passed away I would have liked to know more.
His book seems to have every word carefully constructed into sentences. Iam not an intelligent man. and I cant understand alot of what he has said. But thru constant study and memorizing key points I can at least get my foot in the door of an intelligent life. That to me is what art is about, finding an intelligent life form. That parallels "art lives".
A lot of his information is confirmed by life in general and things that take place outside the envelope. Like a wave ,it tools the unconscious mind into a understanding that was not there before.

beer no wait, time heals all wounds
its good, but on the other hand knowledge is power, and power corrupts so proceed with caution be prepared for a loss of innocents and with great power comes great responsibility, so you will have to face the fact that anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law. Ignorance is bliss. My best advise is to read his other books too so you have a context for what you get from the learning.
