Good advice marred by lack lustre illustrations
Although this book was written in 1982, the advice on image capture is as relevant today as then The book is packed with really good information on how to photograph all kinds of sports. The sections on equipment are rather dated unless you are interested in film cameras, in which case once again the book is a goldmine of good information. The only reason why I have not given the book 5 stars is the actual photo illustrations are not that impressive. Photographers contemporary to the time like Ed Lacy and Tony Duffy could turn out marvelous work with that equipment. For some beautiful contemporary sports photographs consult Erich Baumann's leaflet on spots photography for Hasselblad.
In addition to commentary on the techniques of sports photography, there are tips on winning competitions and selling photographs too.
All in all a really good book.

The best available for learning kata
This is simply the best video of its type I have seen and I have seen quite a few.
The one step sparing could be more inspiring but if you want to learn kata there is no better video. That is not to say it could not be done better, just no one has yet.
So how could it be improved, some very slow speeds for kata would be good so absolute beginners at a kata could work at their pace with the video running.
However, watch it enough and you will get the idear

Kodak really does know best.
All Kodak books for professional photographers were really superb and this book is no exception. Every important aspect of large format photography is fully but also succinctly explained. It really does not get much better than that.
