A Quick and interesting read
A quick and interesting read. Chimamanda's writing drew me in as usual. She's one of my favourite authors. This little book highlights the challenges faced by all women, but in particular African women, in male dominated societies. She has an approach to Feminism based on Common Sense which is appealing and not as ambigious or unforgiving as the New Wave of Feminists. An essay that those of us who enjoy flirtation and high heels but want to be taken seriously in our careers and day to day lives can relate to. Okay, I'm not very eloquent or good at putting my point across despite the gazillion books I 've read but you get my point, it's worth reading and approaches the subject of Feminism without alienating anyone.
