Nice Bossa Nova + More Album

I had never heard the group Unit before. I like their sound and, with the addition of the two guests, the overall sound was great. This is a wonderful addition to my Bossa Nova library.

Introspective assessment of life

Johnny Cash, knowing his life was coming to an end, released a series of albums where he was able to contemplate his life and sing songs he would not have recorded otherwise. This may be the best album of the series. It is both sad and fascinating to hear him sing in a voice that falters but shows the knowledge he had of life and how he fit into it. This is not a high energy, rocking country album. This is an introspective album of a man assessing his life and trying to leave this world a little better with the time he had left. Much of the credit for these albums goes to Rick Rubin, for he is the rock that Johnny could rely on so that these songs could be left for us to enjoy. May everyone do so.
