not as happy as I was hoping

I bought a Nordictrack because of the iFit compatibility, only to find out that there is not as much control with where I run with iFit than I thought. I thought I could literally pick a place to run and go - but it is more like "would you like to run in San Francisco today?" and if you don't, no other choice is given. Also, concerning the unit itself, the belt seems to slip sometimes, especially if I am walking instead of running. Lastly, I have run on many treadmills, and I can't help but wonder if there is a calibration issue with this one, as I simply cannot run or walk as fast as I have been able to on every other treadmill I have ever used.
The console does have lots of choices, however, and there are wonderful fans that make me happy as well as the ability to plug in my ipod.
